Kyle Wingfield was quoted in a Richmond Times Dispatch article titled “Richmond Increases Business Tax Threshold to $250,000.”
The article outlined the recent changes by the city to amend the current Business, Professional and Occupational License (BPOL) tax policy, increasing the threshold from $100,000 to $250,000, which could potentially save thousands of dollars for some companies.
Kyle commented that the change will help the city keep pace with neighboring localities, and went on to say that “the city has needed a shot in the arm. To the extent they can encourage businesses to stay in the city instead of going out to Chesterfield or Henrico, that’s great.”
