Williams Mullen attorneys Brydon DeWitt, Daniel Masakayan and Hal Johnson participated in the Williams Mullen Update at the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia, Inc. (CICV) CFO & HR Conference. 

Moderated by Johnson, the session provided attendees with timely legal updates impacting private colleges and universities. DeWitt spoke on retirement plan litigation trends, alternative investments and Virginia's Paid Family Leave Law, while Masakayan covered employment law updates from the 2026 Virginia General Assembly. Attendees included representatives from CICV member institutions and Strategic Business Partners.
