Finding Yes® for Our People

We know that a well-rounded and engaged workplace makes us better at serving our clients, our communities and each other.

Williams Mullen is committed to providing exceptional legal services to our clients. We believe the firm cannot achieve this goal unless its people reflect the communities and clients they serve.

We also believe Williams Mullen only succeeds when we foster an environment where all our team members have the opportunity to succeed professionally and contribute meaningfully.

We are committed to employing the best workforce available from a broad pool of candidates. Our people should expect a workplace in which their variety of background and experiences are welcomed and valued. Williams Mullen’s Engagement Committee supports a workplace where every employee feels connected, valued, and empowered to succeed.

Attorney & Employee Networks

Under the Engagement Committee umbrella are our Networks. These networks are open to all attorneys and, in some cases, open to professional staff. They include an Attorneys of Color Network, LGBTQ+ Network, Veterans Network, and Women’s Network.

The Engagement Committee and Networks are guided by the following common priorities:

  • Engage employees: Offer a platform where employees can contribute input to enhance firm culture.
  • Attract talent: Support firm’s mission to recruit from a broad and talented pool of candidates.
  • Foster connection: Encourage meaningful relationships across roles, backgrounds, and experiences to strengthen firm community and collaboration.
  • Support retention: Create an environment where attorneys and professionals feel seen, heard, and equipped for long-term success within the firm.
  • Promote development: Offer opportunities for professional growth through strategic programming and connections.
  • Encourage well-being: Support the firm’s efforts to promote a healthy workplace through added resources and open dialogue.
