Williams Mullens Attorneys Speak at 2026 Virginia Conference on Federal Taxation

Williams Mullen attorneys Jenny H. Connors, Daniel J. Durst and J. Conrad Garcia recently presented at the 77th Annual Virginia Conference on Federal Taxation.

Connors and Garcia led a session titled “New Adventures in Choice of Entity,” which examined choice-of-entity considerations in light of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and recent regulatory guidance. The presentation covered check-the-box elections, new employment tax guidance, and planning opportunities and considerations related to Section 1202 benefits.

Later in the conference, Durst presented “Wealth Transfer Tax Recent Developments,” a session reviewing significant judicial decisions, administrative guidance, and statutory developments affecting federal wealth transfer taxation. Attendees gained insight into recent changes and emerging trends in the wealth transfer tax landscape.
