Elizabeth Chapman Named to Virginia Business’ Forty Under 40

Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Elizabeth S. Chapman, based in the firm’s Virginia Beach office, has been named to Virginia Business’ Forty Under 40.

Chapman, a partner in Williams Mullen’s Finance & Real Estate Section, advises national, regional and local clients on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financings and developments, with a focus on affordable housing projects involving low-income housing tax credit transactions. Her practice has earned consistent legal recognition, including honors from Virginia Business’ “Legal Elite,” Inside Business’ Top Forty Under 40, Best Lawyers’ “One to Watch,” and Super Lawyers’ “Rising Star.”

She serves as president of the board of directors for CREW Coastal Virginia, the leading organization advancing women in commercial real estate, and has been an active member since 2015. She also serves on the board of Volunteer Hampton Roads and on the finance and audit committees of the Girl Scout Council of the Colonial Coast.

Chapman earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Richmond School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
