Tom Frantz Honored as 2025 Icon Award Recipient by Virginia Business

Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Thomas R. Frantz, chairman emeritus of the board and former president and chief executive officer of the firm, has been named a 2025 Icon honoree by Virginia Business magazine.

A longtime Virginia Beach-based corporate attorney and community leader, Frantz served as Williams Mullen’s president and CEO from 2010 to 2015. He is active in regional and statewide initiatives, including numerous economic development and civic leadership roles. He is co-chair of RVA757 Connects, chairs GO Virginia’s Region 5 Council and serves on the board of directors and the executive committee of the Hampton Roads Executive Roundtable.

The Virginia Icon Honors Awards recognize the lifetime achievements of Virginia leaders from business, government and higher education over the age of 60 whose track records, visionary leadership and commitment to excellence have left a lasting impact on their organizations and their communities. Virginia Business will hold a celebration at The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond where Frantz and 30 other Virginia leaders will be recognized.
