Virginia Lawyers Weekly Names Laura Windsor a 2024 “Go To Lawyer” for Employment Law

Williams Mullen is proud to announce that Laura D. Windsor, chair of the firm’s Labor, Employment and Immigration Section and co-chair of the Trade Secrets, Employee Mobility and Restrictive Covenants Practice, has been named by Virginia Lawyers Weekly as one of Virginia’s “Go To Lawyers” for employment law in 2024. Windsor focuses her practice on defending businesses in employment and employee benefits litigation matters in state and federal courts across the country.

In addition to her litigation practice, Windsor advises businesses, non-profits, educational institutions, and religious-affiliated organizations in all areas of human resources and employment law, including on company policies, internal investigations, terminations and reduction in force plans, medical leave issues, restrictive covenants, executive employment agreements, and employment-related aspects of corporate purchase and sale transactions.

Virginia Lawyers Weekly defines a “Go To Lawyer” as:

  • A lawyer who is an expert in his or her field, well-versed in the nuances of the case law, statutes and regulations clients will encounter.
  • A lawyer who is experienced and enjoys a record of success, with many cases and/or transactions that give testimony to the quality advice he or she can provide.
  • A lawyer to whom other lawyers make referrals because of his or her expertise and accomplishments.
  • A lawyer who can think creatively and identify all options for a client.
  • A lawyer you would name when a friend from another state calls and says she has a client who needs some legal help in a given part of the commonwealth.
