Williams Mullen Earns Band 1 Ranking for Virginia Private Wealth Law in Chambers High Net Worth 2026 Guide

Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that the firm’s Private Client & Fiduciary Services Practice was once again recognized in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide, earning a Band 1 ranking for Private Wealth Law. The guide also recognized three attorneys from the seven-lawyer practice, which serves clients across Virginia and provides a broad range of sophisticated estate planning services.

The following attorneys were recognized:

  • Christine Nguyen Piersall, Band 2
  • Daniel J. Durst, Band 3

Aghdami advises clients on wealth transfer tax planning, business succession, income tax planning and fiduciary litigation. He is the managing partner of Williams Mullen’s Richmond office and serves on the Board of Regents of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). He is also a member of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Southern Federal Tax Institute. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® (2006-present) and was elected to the Estate Planning Hall of Fame by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils in 2024. This marks his 10th consecutive year being ranked in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide.

Durst advises high net worth individuals, business owners and professionals on estate planning, including the preparation of wills and trusts. He is a Fellow of ACTEC, a past chair of the Virginia Bar Association’s Wills, Trusts & Estates Section, and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for Trusts and Estates Law (2018–present) and Tax Law (2025).

Based in Virginia Beach, Piersall focuses her practice on estate tax planning, estate and trust administration and elder law. She chairs the firm’s Private Client and Fiduciary Services Practice and serves on Williams Mullen’s board of directors. She is a Fellow of ACTEC and has been certified as an Accredited Estate Planner® by the National Association of Estate Planners and Council.
