Williams Mullen Expands Securities & Corporate Governance Practice with Addition of Matt Chmiel

Williams Mullen is pleased to welcome Matthew B. Chmiel as a partner in its Securities & Corporate Governance Practice in Richmond. 

His arrival further deepens the firm’s capabilities in complex securities transactions and corporate governance matters. Chmiel advises domestic and international companies, issuers, and underwriters on complex securities matters and helps clients navigate federal and state securities law requirements as they pursue their strategic business objectives.

He counsels clients on a broad range of capital-raising and securities transactions, including initial public offerings and other public and private offerings. He also advises clients on SEC disclosure and reporting requirements and compliance with NYSE and Nasdaq listing standards.

He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Richmond.
