Williams Mullen Strengthens Intellectual Property Team with the Addition of Matthew Barthalow

Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Matthew C. Barthalow has joined its Intellectual Property Section as a partner at the firm’s Tysons office.

Barthalow focuses his intellectual property practice on assisting clients obtain patent rights for their inventions as well as guiding clients on the patent rights of competitors. He has extensive experience in patent prosecution and client counseling across diverse technologies with a particular focus in life sciences and chemical matters.

Barthalow earned his Juris Doctor degree and his Master of Intellectual Property degree, magna cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law. He also earned his Master of Science degree and his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
