10.12.2023 Amanda Weaver Named to 2023 Class of “Up & Coming Lawyers” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Amanda M. Weaver has been named to the 2023 class of "Up & Coming Lawyers" by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. The awards program, which recognizes the attorneys they deem have excelled in the profession and are standouts among their peers within their first ten years of practice, named 18 people to the 2023 class. The honorees will be celebrated during an awards ceremony at the John Marshall Ballrooms in Richmond.
Weaver joined the Williams Mullen Labor, Employment and Immigration Section in the firm’s Richmond office in 2014. She helps clients maintain compliance with anti-discrimination laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and Title VII, and similar state anti-discrimination and accommodation laws, including advising clients on compliance with discrimination laws that pertain to the rapidly evolving area of gender identity and transgender/transitioning employees.
Weaver received her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from the University of Richmond School of Law. Before attending law school, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Duke University. Since her inception, Weaver has garnered awards, which include being named among the “Ones to Watch” by Best Lawyers® (2021-present), “Legal Elite” Young Lawyer (2019-present) and Labor and Employment (2022) by Virginia Business and “Rising Stars” for Labor and Employment by Virginia Super Lawyers (2020-present).
