Reggie Jones Elected Chairman of the Board of the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation

Reginald "Reggie" Jones, partner at Williams Mullen in Richmond, was elected chairman of the board of the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation (VECF) at the organization's annual meeting on June 10, 2015. He succeeds Ben Davenport, chairman of Davenport Energy and First Piedmont Corporation in Chatham, Va. Davenport had served as the VECF's board chair since 2013.

The Virginia Early Childhood Foundation is a public-private partnership established 10 years ago to advance school readiness initiatives and quality early learning efforts across the Commonwealth.

Jones has more than 40 years of legal experience representing clients before the Virginia General Assembly and the agencies of state government. His practice specializes in government relations, health care, professions, technology, financial institutions and energy. Active in a number of business, community and civic organizations, he was a founding member of the VECF's board of directors and has served since 2006.

In other action, Beth Rhinehart, director of government relations for Wellmont Health System in Bristol, Va., was elected secretary of the board. Katherine Busser, CEO of the Virginia Children's Hospital Alliance in Richmond, and Adrian Chapman, president and chief operating officer of WGL Holdings, Inc. and Washington Gas in Springfield, Va., will retain their board positions of vice chair and treasurer, respectively.

Also, the following new board members were elected to three-year terms, serving from July 2015 through June 2018:

• Deborah DiCroce, Ed.D., president and CEO of the Hampton Roads Community Foundation (Norfolk, Va.)
• Glenn DuBois, chancellor of the Virginia Community College System (Richmond, Va.)
• Mark Gordon, CEO of Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center (Richmond, Va.)
• Carrie Roth, executive director of the Virginia BioTechnology Research Partnership Authority and president/CEO of the Virginia BioTechnology Research Park (Richmond, Va.)
