Mike Sajovec
For over 30 years, Mike Sajovec has helped companies in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, nutraceutical, food product, polymer chemistry, and advanced materials sectors protect and commercialize their innovations. With a technical background in chemistry and deep experience across highly regulated and research-driven industries, Mike provides practical, business-focused intellectual property (IP) counsel tailored to each client’s strategic goals.
Mike develops and manages global patent and trademark portfolios, oversees complex IP protection programs, and prepares and prosecutes 50–100 patent applications each year. He regularly works with R&D, regulatory, and executive teams to secure rights in technologies ranging from nutraceutical compositions and pharmaceutical formulations to organic chemistry, biochemistry, polymer chemistry, and lithium-ion and solid-state battery chemistries. He also advises on IP licensing, technology commercialization, and portfolio monetization.
In addition to advising early-stage and growth-stage companies, Mike serves as outside IP counsel for a publicly traded lithium products company and a world-renowned herb-based dietary and nutritional supplement manufacturer. He also manages extensive trademark portfolios for clients across the life sciences and technology sectors, guiding them through brand clearance, registration, enforcement, and licensing.
