Marcia C. Pennefather
Marcia Pennefather’s practice focuses on providing business-oriented legal guidance on corporate, compliance, and risk management matters, including complex commercial contracts and strategic transactions. She works with clients to address legal risks while supporting business objectives in complex, fast-paced, highly regulated environments.
Marcia has a background in biopharmaceutical services and international corporate legal operations. She has held senior legal counsel roles across healthcare and life sciences organizations. Earlier in her career, she led a global team responsible for vendor and commercial contracting within the legal department of a Fortune 500 company with lawyers in the U.K., India, China and Japan. Marcia has worked closely with business development and procurement teams and is known for her expertise in rendering practical advice as well as finding creative solutions to complex challenges.
She received her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from Wake Forest University School of Business. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto. She holds dual citizenship in the United States and Canada.
