Indoor Shooting Sports Ranges Short Course: OSHA and Hazardous Waste Compliance

Fri, Dec 7, 2018
8:00 AM

Indoor shooting ranges are subject to stringent government regulations, including the OSHA Lead Standard and EPA Hazardous Waste Regulations. The OSHA Lead Standard requires monitoring employee lead exposures; engineering and administrative controls; respirator training and enforcement; and medical surveillance. EPA assesses fines and costs for mismanagement of lead dust, airflow filters and bullets/shots sent for reclaim under the Hazardous Waste Regulations.

This short course is designed to provide compliance guidance for Indoor Gun Ranges for both areas of law. The instructors are attorneys from Williams Mullen with experience defending the shooting sports industry against state and federal actions by OSHA and EPA throughout the United States. Williams Mullen is headquartered in Richmond, VA, with offices throughout the Southeast.
