Anna A. Dimitri
Anna Dimitri focuses her practice on state regulatory and energy law. She represents developers, electric cooperatives, and other market participants in proceedings before the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC), as well as related compliance, regulatory strategy, and administrative matters.
Anna counsels clients on utility regulation, energy efficiency programs, rate and tariff issues, and the development and siting of energy infrastructure. Her deep familiarity with SCC practice, evidentiary standards, and stakeholder dynamics enables her to guide clients through complex regulatory proceedings while helping them anticipate and mitigate risk.
Before joining the firm, Anna served as an Associate General Counsel in the Utilities Section of the SCC’s Office of General Counsel, where she advised the Divisions of Public Utility Regulation and Utility Accounting and Finance. Anna represented Commission Staff in formal proceedings before the SCC concerning the regulation of electric and gas utilities, including cases involving ratemaking and energy policy.
Anna’s earlier government service includes work in the Financial Services Section of the SCC’s Office of General Counsel, where she advised the Bureau of Financial Institutions and the Office of the Clerk of the Commission. She also served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Transportation Section of the Virginia Office of the Attorney General, advising several state agencies on a wide range of matters.
Anna earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Clemson University.
