Heather R. Black

Heather Black represents clients in complex litigation in federal and state courts across the country. She guides matters from early case strategy and discovery through dispositive motions, trial preparation, and appeal. Heather manages demanding caseloads with a focus on efficiency, responsiveness, and practical results. Heather enjoys working closely with her clients to resolve conflicts and support their long-term legal and strategic goals.

Following law school, Heather practiced for several years litigating complex cases in both state and federal court. After practicing for a few years, Heather served as a law clerk to the Honorable Elizabeth W. Hanes of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Heather earned her Juris Doctor from the College of William & Mary Law School, during which she served on the executive board of the Moot Court Team and as chair of the Virginia Bar Association Law School Council. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise.
