Chris Moore assists public and private companies in general corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other commercial transactions. Chris also assists a variety of clients in all stages of the company life cycle, including new entity organization, corporate governance and dissolution. Chris helps companies draft and negotiate M&A transaction documents, and he counsels clients throughout the closing process. Chris has represented many operating companies in commercial contracting matters, such as services contracts between a large clinical research organization and its sponsors, license agreements, distribution agreements and routine vendor engagements.

Chris helps companies draft and negotiate M&A transaction documents, and he counsels clients throughout the closing process. Chris has represented many operating companies in commercial contracting matters, such as services contracts between a large clinical research organization and its sponsors, license agreements, distribution agreements and routine vendor engagements. In addition to his M&A and general corporate practice, Chris has represented financial institutions, particularly regional and community banks, in numerous financing transactions, including construction and permanent real estate loans, asset-based loans and C&I loans.

A representative list of his experience includes:

  • Represented a dietary supplement company in its acquisition of a brand, restructuring of its subsidiaries, and sale of equity to a minority investor.
  • Represented a factoring finance company in a sale of substantially all of its assets.
  • Assisted hospice providers in acquisitions of licensed hospice agencies.
  • Negotiated master services agreements for a large clinical research organization covering core clinical and laboratory services, with sponsors ranging from startup pharmaceutical companies to affiliates of large, publicly traded companies.
  • Negotiated multiple clinical trial agreements for a prominent North Carolina medical provider.

Chris earned his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Campbell Law School, graduating with the highest GPA in his class. During law school, he was the executive editor of the Campbell Law Review and a championship-winning member of the National Moot Court Team. He was published twice in the Campbell Law Review as a student for writing comments about professional social media accounts and North Carolina trade secrets. He completed externships with the North Carolina Supreme Court, the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the Office of the North Carolina Solicitor General.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of North Carolina.
