Williams Mullen Partner Chuck James Named to 2026 Virginia Black Business Leader Awards

Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Charles E. “Chuck” James, Jr., partner in Williams Mullen’s Litigation Section and co-chair of both the Crisis Management, Internal Investigations and White-Collar Defense and the Firearms Industry Groups, has been named to the 2026 Virginia Black Business Leader Awards by Virginia Business magazine.

James has decades of experience in crisis management, white-collar defense, internal investigations and complex civil litigation. He serves on the firm’s board of directors and is a member of the Engagement Committee where he chairs the Attorneys of Color Network. His career also spans government service with prior roles as chief deputy attorney general of Virginia and federal prosecutor.

James is consistently recognized by leading legal publications like Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America^®, Virginia Business Legal Elite and Benchmark Litigation. In addition to his professional accomplishments, James serves on the advisory board of the Army Central Virginia Area Command.
