Williams Mullen Welcomes Seven First-Year Associates

Williams Mullen is pleased to welcome seven first-year associates to the firm. Five of the associates will be based in Richmond, while one each will work in Virginia Beach and Raleigh. In addition, five of the new hires are 2014 graduates of the Williams Mullen summer associate program.

Hadeel Abouhasira has joined our Labor & Employment practice in the Richmond office, where she focuses on business immigration matters and advises clients in connection with their business and individual immigration issues. Hadeel was a Williams Mullen summer associate in 2014 and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was the Assistant Development Editor for the Virginia Journal of Criminal Law. Hadeel received a B.A. in Philosophy from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she was President of the Pre-Law Society.

Arrion Dennis has joined our Business & Corporate practice in the Richmond office. She assists clients with general business matters, entity formation, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions. Arrion was a Williams Mullen summer associate in 2014 and received her Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School, where she was the Editor-in-Chief of the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal. Arrion received a B.A. in Government and a Master of Education degree from The College of William & Mary.

Adam Farnsworth has joined our Tax practice in the Richmond office, where he focuses on Private Client & Fiduciary Services. He deals with a wide array of tax issues involving the estate tax, gift tax and generation-skipping transfer tax, while also assisting clients in the formation of partnerships and limited liability companies. He received his LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law and his Juris Doctor from the Michigan State University College of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief for the International Law Review. He received a B.A. in International Affairs from Wagner College.

Ryan Hanson has joined our Business & Corporate practice in the Virginia Beach office. He focuses on general business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate government and contract review and negotiations. Ryan was a Williams Mullen summer associate in 2014 and received his Juris Doctor from the Wake Forest University School of Law, where he served as President of the Student Health Law Association. He received a B.A. in Commerce from Washington & Lee University and an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University.

Erica B. Mitchell has joined our Litigation practice in the Richmond office. She focuses her practice on general commercial litigation and supports the firm’s White Collar and Investigations Team. Erica was a Williams Mullen summer associate in 2014. She received her Juris Doctor, cum laude,  from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was a Contributing Editor on the Michigan Law Review. She received a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia.

Jennifer Nusbaum has joined our Litigation practice in the Raleigh office, where she represents clients in claims related to breach of contract, fraud, bankruptcy, employment disputes, commercial real estate litigation, financial services litigation and other disputes. She was a Williams Mullen summer associate in 2014 and received her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she was a staff member for the North Carolina Law Review and a Notes Editor for the North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology. She received a B.A. in Political Science from Campbell University.

Rebecca Winder has joined our Intellectual Property practice in the Richmond office. She focuses her practice on helping companies manage their intellectual property portfolios, negotiate software and technology licenses, build their brand into a valuable asset and perform IP due diligence for the purchase or sale of a business. She received her Juris Doctor from the Wake Forest University School of Law, where she was the Managing Editor of the Journal of Business and Intellectual Property Law. She received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
