Amos Dawson has over 40 years of experience in the practice of environmental law, and is a former assistant attorney general of the Environmental Protection Section of the North Carolina Department of Justice. He also served as a staff attorney to the North Carolina Coastal Resources Commission. In addition to his environmental law practice, Mr. Dawson is a certified mediator who has successfully conducted mediations in complex environmental, commercial and personal injury cases in state and federal courts.

Mr. Dawson is licensed to practice in North and South Carolina. He is a member of the Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Section of the American Bar Association.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
