Lauren Nowlin’s practice focuses on commercial real estate matters, including the acquisition, sale, leasing and financing of real property, as well as tax credit transactions. Her practice has a strong emphasis on the acquisition, development and construction of multi-family housing developments intended to qualify for federal low-income housing tax credits.

Her practice has a strong emphasis on the acquisition, development and construction of multi-family housing developments intended to qualify for federal low-income housing tax credits.
Lauren is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Richmond Bar Association and the Virginia Bar Association - Young Lawyers Division, as well as Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). She is also a member of the American Bar Association, including the Forum Committee on Affordable Housing and Community Development Law.
Lauren received her Bachelor of Science degree in commerce, with distinction, from the University of Virginia and her Juris Doctor degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law. While in law school, Lauren was a John Marshall Scholar and a member of the Client Counseling and Negotiation Board. She served as vice chancellor of the Walter Scott McNeill Law Honor Society and as an articles editor for the University of Richmond Law Review.
