Terra R. Parten*

A former senior counsel at a world-renowned academically based health system with over a decade of additional experience in private practice, Terra Parten helps hospitals, academic medical centers, physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, home health and hospice agencies, medical device manufacturers and distributors, and other healthcare industry clients achieve their strategic initiatives through various commercial and business transactions and operational contracts. 

She has significant experience with arrangements between healthcare clients and their referral sources, including structuring arrangements to comply with the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS) and the Stark Law. 

Terra represents clients in connection with joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, physician contracting and compensation, and medical device and other supply chain procurement, and also advises on a myriad of compliance matters including Medicare and Medicaid enrollment and reimbursement, alternative payment models, clinically integrated networks, government investigations, Corporate Integrity Agreement obligations, controlled substances laws, telehealth, and licensure and accreditation.

She has been recognized for her work in health care law by Chambers USA and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America^® for Health Care Law and Corporate Law.

Terra earned her Juris Doctor degree, with highest honors, from The University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she was a member of the Oklahoma Law Review and Order of the Coif. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Kansas.
