Intellectual Property Attorney Martin W. Hayes Joins Williams Mullen
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Intellectual Property attorney Martin W. Hayes has joined the firm as an Associate in the Tyson’s Corner office.
Mr. Hayes has experience in a broad range of trademark, copyright, and licensing issues, including all aspects of U.S. and foreign trademark clearance searches, prosecution, portfolio management, litigation, cancellations and oppositions. He has handled complex trademark and trade dress infringement cases, including having served as second-chair in a complex trademark and trade dress infringement case for a musical instrument manufacturer, in which he handled all matters from drafting the initial cease-and-desist letter and complaint through fact discovery and settlement negotiations.
Mr. Hayes is a graduate of the Franklin Pierce Center for IP at the University of New Hampshire School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor. At the university, he served as the Associate Editor of IDEA: The Intellectual Property Law Review and received the Franklin Pierce Intellectual Property Law Certificate. He also earned a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York.
