Kevin Pomfret Named as a 2025 “Go To Lawyer” for Cybersecurity/Data Privacy by Virginia Lawyers Weekly
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Kevin D. Pomfret, chair of Williams Mullen's Unmanned Systems and co-chair of the Data Protection & Cybersecurity teams, has been named by Virginia Lawyers Weekly as one of Virginia’s “Go To Lawyers” for cybersecurity/data privacy for 2025.
Pomfret advises a wide range of public and privately held companies on cybersecurity, data protection, and privacy compliance, helping them mitigate risks and safeguard digital assets. He provides counsel on data retention strategies to meet legal and regulatory requirements and minimize exposure in the event of a cyber breach and is recognized globally for his work in the geospatial and space sectors in data protection and cybersecurity law.
Pomfret has also spearheaded efforts within the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM) to develop legal and policy frameworks for the responsible collection, use, and sharing of geospatial data, with a strong focus on cybersecurity risks, data governance, and privacy compliance.
